Hi all!

I am planning to visit Sikkim around September-end. Please can you advise how good/bad the below itinerary is.

Also, I would like to cut it short by a day but am not sure what to exclude. And, if you can suggest better hotels instead of the ones mentioned below would be great (around the same price range or slightly higher would do too)

Another question, sorry... will it be very cold during this time there? Was thinking of taking my parents along.

Day 1: Bagdogra airport to Pelling, Check in at Aryan Regency. Overnight at Pelling.
Day 2: Local tour in Pelling covering Pemayangtse Monastery, Khecheopalri Lake, Kunchenjungha Falls and Rimbi Falls, Rubduntse Ruins (walking) and Helipad - Kunchenjungha View Point. Overnight at Pelling.
Day 3: Pelling to Gangtok. Check in at Misty Oak. Overnight at Gangtok.
Day 4: Tsongo Lake with Baba Mandir excursion. Drive to Tsongo Lake after breakfast to enjoy Snow and Yak Ride at the high altitude Alpine Lake and proceed further to Legendary Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir. Back to Hotel for late Lunch. Overnight at Gangtok.
Day 5: Gangtok to Lachen. On the way visit Singhik, Seven Sister Water Falls, Chungthang Confluence. Check in at Bayul Guest House.
Day 6: Lachen to Thangu and Chopta Valley Excursion, Early morning drive to Thangu Village; and also proceed further to Chopta Valley and Gurudongmar lake. Drive back to Lachen for Lunch. Lachen to Lachung via Chungthang. En route visit Chungthang Confluence and Vimnala Water Falls. Check in at Seasons House.
Day 7: Lachung to Yumthang Valley Excursion. Early morning drive to Yumthang Valley and drive back to Lachung for lunch.
Day 8: Lachung to Gangtok. Drive back to Gangtok via Chungthang. Check in at Denzong Shangrila by late afternoon. Free evening Overnight at Gangtok.
Day 9: Gangtok to Bagdogra Airport.

Thanks a ton!

Sikkim is a great place I would suggest to add couple of days . However, I think Day 4: Tsomgo Lake with Baba Mandir would be the option. Because you are visiting Gurudongmar Lake (OK, Tsomgo and Gurudongmar is not same...).
