Hi ALL,
I am new in this forum. I am planning to visit Sikkim specially NORTH SIKKIM. I have seen in this forum that there are many people who visited the place. Can you help me to chalk the plan out? We are 7 members including 4 members aged around 50. Late Oct and early Nov is OK ?? I wish to cover all the places like Gurudonmar and Yumthang, Zero point etc... ![]() |

You have not mentioned how many days you will be spending in Sikkim. The best option for you will be to reach Gangtok & book your tour with an agent. This is necessary to visit north Sikkim & Natu La. Spend one day in Gangtok and start early morning for north Sikkim. Accomodation options at places like Lachung is limited. Check with the tour operator what kind of accomodation is being offered. Another word of caution since you will have aged persons in your group. Quite a few travellers feel sick at Nathu La becuase of the height & less Oxygen in the air. Spend two nights in north Sikkim return to Gangtok. Next start for west Sikkim, places like Ravangla & Pelling. You may refer my post on my Sikkim trip for further info.
The weather will be good but a bit chilly. |

Thanks Jyotirmoy
Actually we are planning to spend 7 days in Sikkim. We will start on 26/10 and return on 3rd or 4th Nov. I am just asking you that 2 nights will be enough for entire North Sikkim?? We want to cover Yumthang as well as Gurudongmar and Chopta Valley. Also I heard that Pelling and Ravangla are great place to visit but this time we are not planning fot west sikkim. |

How much it will cost for North Sikkim? There are so many travel agent I have found on NET. I have got a rate from Marcopolo Travels, they are telling that only north sikkim will cost around 4500 per head and Gurudongmar, Katao, Zero Point and Yemesedong will cost extra that we have to pay the driver. Is it OK?
