Smile Sikkim in Nov-Dec

Hi All,

I am planning for my honeymoon trip to North-East India in Nov-Dec.
I will be visiting following places in 2 weeks:
Pelling
Kalimpong
Lachung
Yumthang Valley
Darjeeling

I would like to know weather details during this period in Sikkim. Would these places be open for sight-seeing during that period.

Waiting for your responses.

Thanks,
- Manoj

HI manoj,

yep it will be opened. But December will be biting cold.
Heavy snowfall will be there in North Sikkim. So do prepare yourself and your wife to face the severe cold.
But do enquire about the road condition to North Sikkim.
If lucky then you may get snowfall in Darjeeling too.

Best Wishes

Hi Manoj,
Nov- Dec would provide one of the best weathers in terms of clarity. You could try out a place called Singhik in North Sikkim. It provides wonderful views of Mt. Kanchenjunga. Lachung and Yumthang would very very cold, though I dont think that the roads would be closed . Try for Katau, near Lachung early in the morning. Great place....to go.
If you want an offbeat destination, you can try Rinchenpong instead of Pelling...same view minus the clutter.
Wish you a great trip.
Regards,
Sagarneel.
