Sikkim for 8 days - suggestions please
Sikkim for 8 days - suggestions please
Hi
We, a family of 7 members with ages ranging between 3 and 63 would be going to Sikkim during Puja vacations (probably will start on 18th and come back on 28th). So we will have about 8-9 days to stay in Sikkim. Majority of our group would like to avoid hectic tour plans and trekking. So we need to focus on 2 to 3 places in Sikkim, and our budget is also limited, means would like to use guest houses or B&B type accommodations. We have Gangtok and Pelling in mind, but could also include one more spot if its worth visiting. So I request IM members, specially experienced Sikkim travelers to share their suggestion on the following themes:
1. Tour itinerary
2. Budget accommodation suggestion and if possible, contacts
3. Ideas about travel costs such as (a) NJP to Gangtok (by say, a SUMO or so), (b) Gangtok to Pelling (or may be Yaksom or may be Rabangla), Gangtok sight seeing (Tsango lake, Rumtek Monastery etc.)
