Sikkim-Darjeeling Tour Plan help

I'm planning for a 10-day family trip to Sikkim and Darjeeling in April-2012. I have a tentative itinerary as follows. Could somebody provide your thoughts on the following?

1. We will be a group of 7 adults and 2 kids. 3 of the adults are 55+. Is the itinerary suitable for kids and elders during April?

2. Trip package cost is quoted as ~ 90K excluding air tickets and food (Food during North Sikkim leg is included). Is this reasonable?

Itinerary:
1(4/6/2012,Fri) Fly from Chennai to Bagdogra via Kolkata.
Pickup from Bagdogra airport and drive to Gangtok
Overnight @ Gangtok

2(4/7/2012,Sat) Visit Enchey Monastry, Namgyal Institute of Tibetelogy,
Institute of Cottage Industry, Ban Jhakri waterfalls,
Dro-DrulChorten, Rope way and Rumtek Monastery.
Overnight @ Gangtok

3(4/8/2012,Sun) Drive from Gangtok to Lachen. Visit Seven Sister Falls,
Bhim nala(falls) on the way.
Overnight @ Lachen

4(4/9/2012,Mon) Jeep Safari from Lachen to Gurudongmar lake.
Return back to Lachen. Drive to Lachung
Overnight @ Lachung

5(4/10/2012,Tue)Excursion to Yumgthang valley, Shingbha Rhododendron
sanctuary and Hot spring. While returning back take a
dip at the hot spring. Return to Lachung. After lunch,
drive to Gangtok Visit Katoa and Zero Point
Overnight @ Gangtok

6(4/11/2012,Wed)Tsomgo Lake (Yak Ride), Baba Mandir and Nathu-la Pass.
Return to Gangtok
Overnight @ Gangtok

7(4/12/2012,Thu)Drive from Gangtok to Pelling via Ravang-la.
Visit Pemayangtse monastery and Rabdentse Palace Ruins.
Take a walk up to Sanga-choling monastery
Overnight @ Pelling

8(4/13/2012,Fri)Visit Khechipeolri Lake, Kanchenjunga Falls
and Singshor Bridge. Drive to Darjeeling.
Overnight @ Darjeeling

9(4/14/2012,Sat)Early morning to Tiger Hill to view sunrise,
visit Ghum monastry and Batasia loop on the way back
Toy train Joy Ride from Darjeeling to Ghoom and back
Overnight @ Darjeeling

10(4/15/2012,Sun)Drive from Darjeeling to drop at Bagdogra airport
Fly from Bagdogra to Chennai via Kolkata

quite ambitious itinerary.........huge traveling and always run run run..........Day 5 last part is impossible.........reassemble the places, e.g. start with Pelling and end in Darjeeling............90k seems to me too high.........make your own arrangements to reduce 50% cost

Thanks a lot. Any pointers for own arrangements - accomodation, ground transport etc?

BTW, I'm talking to Yak and Yeti for the package.

Yak & Yeti is good enough.......if you dont have any problem with budget go for it.........or do spot booking in case need to save money

Hi PKS, Would you mind updating this thread with your experiences? What changes did you make? Anything unplanned that happened? I will be shortly making a similar trip starting from Chennai. I'm sure this will help others too.
