Sikkim by foot

I'll be visiting Sikkim with a friend in late March, have a few questions regarding technicalities of our trek. We're planning on starting at Pelling, to Lake Khecheopalri, to Yuksom, to Tashiding to Ravangla.

1. Is it possible to do this route without a guide or porter? If not, what are the chances of finding a good porter in Pelling? Better to look in Darjeeling?

2. Are there ample places to sleep at all of these points? I wasn't planning to take a tent/sleeping bag... should I reconsider? What about food?

3. How cold will it be? Wet?

4. How rough is the terrain?

5. Is it possible to do this trek in 5 days, or is that crazy?

Thanks for any advice you can offer!
