Hi,
Myself from mumbai. when you are going to sikkim, you should visit yamthang, changulake and Nathula Pass. These are very nice places to visit. You can hire a taxi and visit.
Regards,
Shailesh

If you reach gangtok on 15th evening and have to reach NP by 18th evening, you would have only two days for the trip. you could visit Nathula and Tsomgo on one day and visit rumtek monastery, tibetology institute on the other. You can go to gangtok taxi stand and enquire about the trips.
Or else you can go to Yumthang valley which is a 2D 1N trip from gangtok.

hi,
Though you have selected Sikkim but 4 days is just injustice for this lovely and enchanting place on earth.
Anyway, if your tour goes from 15th to 18th
15th : Gangtok (N)
16th : Gangtok-Tsomgo Lake-Baba mandir-Gangtok (N)
17th : Local Tour (7 Points including Rumtek Monastry) (N)
18th : Back to NJP.

No question of Pelling at all
Its no use spending a night in pelling without sparing a whole day for this beautiful quiet and calm place with plenty of places to visit.

As it is a family tour I would advice not to do a clumsy tour or a hurricane tour just for your good.

Good Luck.

Review sikkim trip

Hi, Recently i completed my sikkim trip. i had to reach there on 7th march but i missed my flight n i had to catch next day flight. I went to Gangtok n Lachung. I had plans to visit Lachen as well but couldnt cover it as it was blocked coz of snow. N Nathula was also blocked but it got opened on 13th March. We couldnt reach yumthang also as it was also blocked. Our trip was too good, sikkim is awesome. though we had to missed lachung, yumthang n nathula we still enjoyed our trip. As i had many question in my mind before i went to sikkim, i would like to answer few now for those who are going or planning to go...

Points to remember while travelling to sikkim:
1. I would suggest not to prebook anything, as everything is easily available and you wont be able to bargain...i didnt prebook anything and got heavy discount(60%) on hotel n 50% on taxi after bargaining.
2. Prepaid taxi is a good option but u can get same taxi on 50% discount. You just need to walk to taxi stand and search for taxi starting from SK04 (at NJP or Bagdogra airport). they will take you at Rs800. And search for WB taxis while travelling back from gangtok to NJP or airport. if you take SK04 from gangtok to NJP they will charge you full i.e. 1500/-
3. Wherever you go, if you are going by share taxi, always try to book front seat, otherwise you wont be able to enjoy your way.
4. dont wry abt language, all understand hindi or sikkemese.
5. All major private n public banks ATM are available in gangtok.
6. Dont expect luxary in north sikkim and just go there to enjoy nature.

I hope i have covered all imp points...have a nice trip to all who are travelling to sikkim.

cheers,
Prash
