Ravangla - Place to Stay

Does anyone have updated information on Hotel Meanamla (http://hotelmeanamla.com/)? We called the numbers on their website and had no answer, then after repeated calling over the course of several days, finally someone did answer and said it was their home and gave us another number, but no answer there? On this and other forums this place is recommended, but we can't seem to connect. Also tried the email address on their website to no avail.

Does anyone have any updated information on this place? Or other recommendations of places to stay in Ravangla that are closer into the town? We've seen Mt. Narsing recommendations but would prefer to be closer in.

I am just back from Ravangla. There are quite a few hotels/lodges that have come up near the main bazaar which are not listed anywhere.

I suggest you to take walk down the road and choose one that appeals you

Hello EMM,
I visited ravangla last month and stayed at hotel ravangla star.
The last hotel in the road from ravangla market to mt. nursing.
The hotel has a very good view of the himalayas, the rooms are too good in respect of the price you pay and the stuffs are good also. They have a very good kitchen where you can get quality food. Also you will be needed a car to travel around, in that case please let me know - i will provide you the phone number of the driver who was with me.

Where ever you stay do get up early & watch the Kanchenjhanga while the sun rises.... simply awsome
