You can try that at Yomthung in Northern Sikkim.

Snow @ YUMTHANG in september, least likely to be seen....

But u can see plenty of snow in YHUMESAMDONG or popularly know as the 0 point in that region.its in the same route and 18 km more from YUMTHANG valley I guess.

At Nathula I am not that sure that you will find snow or not in september.

I did not find snow at Nathu La in December But even then it is worth a visit. There was snow at Zero Point but then I was there in December.

I went to both of these places in the last week of Dec and I found plenty of snow in both of the places. I also encountered some snowfall near Thangu ....We nearly died as the visibility was minimum and it was hard to drive.In one moment we nearly fell off the road.Thanks to our experienced driver and thanks to the army men who later escorted us ......

Andarun,

Would appreciate if you would look around a bit before posting a new thread. The forum has this info. In sept, there is only MILD snow at Zero point itself. Nowhere else in the usual tourist route IMHO

@Samya,

Looks like you visited N.Sikkim during December Was it a pleasant experience amd were you able to make it to Gurudongmar lake? I was under the impression that Gurudongmar might be offlimits in December and was leaning more towards W.Sikkim

In december there is no such issue.Lachung is a bit trickey place where there will be quite wildy and chilly after the sunset.But nothings much to worry.You will love the weather there that time...
I didnt had any plans to go to Gurudongar lake as I didnt had enough time in my hand.

Katao & Gurudongmar is yet to be visited in that region...
