Pelling Vs Lachen

Hi All,

I would be visiting north sikkim in the last week of April along with my husband and parents
We would be visiting Gangtok, Lachung and Darjeeling. We are not able to decide upon whether to visit Pelling or Lachen

Could anyone help us out please
Your thoughts are highly appreciated

If adventure,serene,beauty,peace, - Any Day North Sikkim - ( Lachen,Lachung,Ymthang,Gurudon gmar,Zero,Katao) since Lachen rather North Sikkim can't be visited alone it needs to be a part of package tour.

If - Relaxation,great good food,modern amenities,crowded concrete hotels - then Pelling..

Also, do we need permits for Lachung and Lachen

If health is a concern then not advisable..

Permits - Yes,that will be co-ordinated by the tour operator from Gangtok itself.

last yr i took my parents to north sikkim,but had to avoid lachen (gurudongmar).
but my parents throughly enjoyed lachung,yumthang & zero point - couldn't reach till zero point as it had started to snow !!!
i think u can consult your family physician before taking your parents to gurudongmar - i did the same.
