I want to directly go to Ravangla from NJP, is there any transportation
18th Oct: NJP to Ravangla, check in hotel, lay back, photography
19th Oct: explore Ravangla
20th Oct: after breakfast head towards Pelling, check in hotel, lay back
21st Oct: explore Pelling
22nd Oct: explore Pelling
23rd Oct: breakfast and head towards NJP
I am actually like to spend leisure time while in vacation, want to roam around freely to capture photography.
Please help me out to plan this tour,
1. I am actually finding it to arrange transportation, is transportation available for the above tour
2. Please suggest some good hotel to spend time with good food
3. Any particular place, I should visit in Ravangla & Pelling

Hello,
We visited Ravangla in April of this year, we stayed in Hotel New Dhzonghu. The room had a lovely mountain view (when it wasn't cloudy!) we got a good deal for 500r per night. Hotel Florida in Ravangla made good momos for lunch. We walked a good way up a road and was surprised to find a huge Buddha statue sat on a podium, set in vast grounds. It wasn't finished at that time but looked like it would be very impressive. We found a great place to eat for dinner, it was above a shop and the sign said 'Yalumdor Tours and Travels Cum Restaurant'. The food was excellent despite them having to cook several dishes by candlelight due to a power cut! We loved Ravangla, the people there were very friendly. We ate breakfasts and had chai at the lovely welcoming Sunrise Cafe opposite our hotel.
Regards,
Gokarna

Hello,
We arrived in Ravangla by shared jeep from Gangtok, all our travel on this holiday was by shared jeep. Sorry don't know about car hire as we have never driven in India. Whilst we were in Pelling we walked to the Songa Choeling Gompa, the second oldest in Sikkim. It was a long walk up the hillside, twisting and turning around numerous hairpin bends until we came to a sign saying 'Housing Colony'. The gompa is just above the new build houses and it was well worth the effort to get there. It is much smaller than Pemyangtse and is set in a lovley location with great views. There is a raised grassy area along side the gompa that houses about 6 stupas. We stayed at Hotel Kubur which was OK, the Garuda seemed to be very popular. We had two good meals at a restaurant opposite the Garuda just over the roundabout, we couldn't see a name but it had wooden sliding doors.
