How was the payment mode and when and how much you had to pay.How was the initial payment made.Did you get any receipt?

Hi,
The rates seem OK. Apple Valley Inn in Lachung is really nice, but I wasn't at all happy with Hidden Hill. Ofcourse you can't expect much in the hills, but Hidden Valley was quite bad - the sheets in my room were dirty, the bathroom light wasn't working, and I was really irked to see two 6-8yr old kids being made to work from 5am - 10pm there.
There isn't much choice, but my driver mentioned that Bayul Lodge and Baichung Guest house are better alternatives. I didn't check them out myself though.

Regarding mode of payment - with Yak & Yeti, I did an internet banking transfer for a deposit, and pay the rest by cheque. I paid around 25% as a confirmation deposit.
