First of all whether Lachung and Lachen will be comfortable or not will depend on you.. You can get heating arrangement if you pay some extra money.. otherwise you can also get it free of cost if you stay in a good hotel... In your case I think Dabla Inn will be very good and they will provide room heater..... If you want to enjoy snow then you should go to Lachung-Yumthang... otherwise you can go to Lava-Loleygaon & Peling...It will be calm and peaceful.. just ideal for your honeymoon.. Just a piece of advice.. on Feb 19th you can do a 2D/1N or 3D/2N package to Lachung -Yumthang.... and after that just stay remaining days in Peling and Lava-Loleygaon..There are plenty to see in Peling.. |

3000 Rs per day for a taxi, including the fuel, is less or more??--- I think it is little bit high.. Generally all hotels provide 10-30% discount during off season.. |

The Oriental Hotel 4. Hotel Sonam Delek Pelling : 1. Norbu Ghang 2. Chiminda International 3. Hotel Newa Regency Please try to suggest from among the given choices... Thanks Abhinav. |

Dear Atanu,
I was thinking about this trip but after viewing your photos now I have made my mind that I will have to make it. My plan is to make it in 1st week of JANUARY 2009 ( depending upon leave). We will be in a group of 4 adults or 6 adults plus a child. We will plan for 2n/3d tour to N/sikkim trying to cover GD Lake,Chopta,Yumgthang etc & back to Gangtok. If we could not make it upto GD Lake or Youmnthang it will be due to snow fall & a bonus to us, so we are very much determined. Please give me contact details of Hotel at which you stayed at Gangtok. If we go for entire car booking basis how much it could be our total cost/per head cost for the tour? Do they have 4/6 seater cars or are all Marshal? Our budget is for 2d/3n tour Rs 3000/4000 per head. |

hey Kousik,
The tour to North Sikkim for 2D/3N for 6 adults can be done in Rs 3000/- per head. The vehicle would be a Bolero, Mahindra Maxx or Tata Sumo. Prefer Bolero or Maxx as these are safer for North Sikkim. You could contact Yak n Yeti to arrange your tour. You need to bargain hard as this is not a peak season. Satish bardewa is the right contact and is very good at planning the tours. All the best! Happy touring! |
