Need Help for Sikkim Trip!

me and my collage friends are planning a trip to Sikkim. we are going travel from Mumbai. our traveling dates are 13th to 19 Feb 2013. so i need help on the following questions

1. Which is the cheapest way to reach Gangtok (rail or air)?
2. Are the traveling dates suitable, will we be able to cover the complete state?
3. What places should we visit?
4. Best and cheapest means of transport for the group of 15?
5. Are there bikes on rent available in Sikkim?

A few answers to your questions,

2. Nope I do not think you will be able to visit all corners of the state a weeks time.
3. North Sikkim is arguably the most sought after place in Sikkim.
4. Not sure but possibly two/three exclusive vehicles for your group of 15.
5. By bikes do you mean motor bikes or bicycles? In either case I do not know but someone here will be able to answer.

Should be fun travelling with a large group of college buddies.

thanks mate but with my traveling dates north Sikkim is not possible this what i was told by the tour agent...as its snowing and the place is not accessible!

so now we are planning for himachal...that is shimla and manali... A travel agent is offering me 5n 6d package for 6.5k...includes breakfast-dinner, pick up drop from delhi, site seeing and stay in 2 star hotel...for group of 12 how is it?
