need help for pelling and north sikkim

[size="5"]we a group of 5 will be visiting sikkim from 1st nov.-8th nov.
i have a lot of questions to members pls. help me-
1. i have a plan to 1n/2d trip to lachung- yamthung what may be the cost for 5 in exclusive vehicle?can we see ice in zero point in nov?
2.i have a plan to visit either pelling or nathula-tsangpo lake-what will be preferable in nov.
3.what will be the transport cost from njp-pelling exclusive & share?
4. what will be cost for pelling sight tour?
5.what will be the transport cost from pelling to gangtok exclusive & share?
6.what will be the cost for nathula- tsanpo lake -baba mandir and for only tshanpo and baba mandir?
7. what will be the cost for local sight tour in gangtok?
8. is there any hotel in Gangtok with mountain view hotel room double within rs500?

There could be snow at Zero point in Novemeber. There was for sure in December when we went there.

I liked Nathu-La as well as Pelling. Some details of my trip here.

Hi raja1344,

1)IF you r visiting gangtok then no point in skipping nathula-changu lake. Do visit nathula and changu lake. it would be a one day trip.
2)for your Lachung-lachen trip you can directly book it in gangtok itself. the trip to lachung-lachen can cost you 1500 Rs per head (inclusive of breakfast,lunch and dinner). you can go for higher rate packages also. this cud be the minimum.
3) A day trip to gangtok would not be more than 1500Rs.Yuo will have to book a car for that. there would be many bargain options in and around the private taxi stand at gangtok near the market.
Hope some of your questions are answered. Note : The rates might differ as i am giving you the idea when we had been to Gangtok on MArch 2008.
4) Yes you can see ice at zero point in november. ice is all year around there. you can also visit 'katao' .

for hotel in gangtok you can look for ' Hotel Tenancy'. Decent and budget hotel- besides private bus and jeep stand.

peling sight tour you will get share jeep per head basis and its cost arround 200-250 per head. that means 2000-2500 rs per jeep. search for topju bhutia.. at peling of shimvo travels.. he is the mail tour operator at peling.. i donot have the number of him.

1. at zero point you will get snow in nov for sure.

2. its always preferable to have a trip to tsongo & nathula, rather than to be in pelling during nov.

3. njp to pelling exclusive around Rs 1800/- and share Rs 150/- per head

4. cost of pelling site tour (full zeep & full Day) around Rs 1500/-

5. pelling to gantok share rate is Rs 120-150/- and exclusive will be around 1500/-

6. baba mandir & tsongo lake per head Rs 120/- and if you want to go to nathula than there is a govt. tax imposed which is around 350/- per head extra. so nathula+baba mandir+tsongo will cost you around rs 500/- per head.

7. local site seeing at gangtok full jeep 1500/-

finally the cost of 1n/2day north sikkim trip starts around 1000 rs (incl of food and lodging).. and it has an upper limit of 2000/- or so. if you book an exclusive jeep (for 5 persons) it should be around 9,000/- 10,000/- Rs

Thanks for your detail reply.one point to mention do you know the Sikkim govt. has raised the natula trip cost fromthis month.in that prospect what may be the cost per head for nathula now
