I have been here for last 3-4 hrs in the hope,postponing all my work for later in the day. Give me some time I will try to suggest you all the possible ways to trace and track him. Even fellow Indiamikers will hopefully do that. Ill be back here and keep in touch with you on mail also.

Even I am not 100% sure, but 99%:
You can start the searching process for an adult person if there's a high chance that something serious had happened to him. As he never called and didn't take his flight now (and no other booking has been made), I would think about the official way now. Maybe he needs help!

Stefan, has Mathias been to India before this trip? And if yes, to this area?

I have been tracking this thread since yestarday, I have some friends at Sikkim police departments, i asked them. But till today I got confirmation that there was no mishaps in Sikkim during this days,( Specially any guests of our country), Well i can say that Road to sikim is disrupted quite frequently due to some agitations in the gateway to enter sikim. I am trying hard to find out if had reached Bagdogra, As cabs and cars that we get from The bagdogra airport runs under an union.

Kamalprasad...please do whatever you can. This is extremely terrible situation for Stephan.

Matthias wanted to see solar eclipse. What was the prime location to watch it in sikkim? He can be tracked there during eclipse time (23?) may be a hotel register at those prime locations?

He was'nt in India before. I informed Heike a few mins ago. She is now having a drink and is thinking. I think she'll needs a couple of minutes.
I am ready here to start the offivial way by calling the police in Hamburg, waiting for a call back from Heike...

Nothing to be thankful of Stefan.........We first require to find our fellow friend. I will suggest you to contact the Indian Embassy at Germany and lodge an complain. They will foreward it to the India, That will be duly constructive and will help you. I am finding our the Phone No of sikim Police commissioner. I will let u khow if i manage to get that.
