Is package tour must?
Hey,
I just wantt to know is a package tour by a travel agent must for North Sikkim tour?Can't I book hotel separately and then take car on everyday basis-----from gangtok to Lachung,then another from lachung-yumthang visit and another car for return from Lachung to Gangtok/Ravangla?If the car has required permit... Advise plz..... |

No you can not. You need to book your north Sikkim travel with an operator. Lachung is a tiny hamlet, so don't expect a taxi stand or some thing like it.

To visit North Sikkim you need permits as its very close to the border & permits are issued only to Travel agents/tour operators & not individuals... This is wat they told me when i was there
