Post lunch session is free for photography and enjoying the beauty of Sillery.visit Ramitey view point and Tinchule which is a 20-25 minutes walk from Sillery for watching magnificent sun set .Don’t forget to experience the beauty of Gangtok at night from your cottage. Overnight stay at Sillary Gaon.

March 30 ------ Start journey after breakfast from Sillery towards Zuluk via silence valley and Pedong Monastery. Visit Lampokhri/Aritar Lake The highest boating lake in Sikkim. After Aritar proceed to Zuluk. Enroute covering Rongli (for inner line permit) Lingtam, Kuekhola falls, Padamchen. Lunch at Zuluk. Overnight stay at Zuluk at Palzor Homestay is the best for night stay.

March 31 ------ Start for Sunrise from Thambi view point. It is also the best view point for 95 turn zigzag road. This 95 turn zig zag road is unique in the entire Himalayan range. sikkim...

dear JITM,

me & my husband would reach bagdogra on 5th oct (3:00pm) then we would head to ganagto (stay there from 5th-8th)-pelling (8th-10oct) & then finally to darjeeling (10-12th oct).
this is our tentaive plan,as we do not tend to spend much on our vehicle so we are looking in for someone who can car pool with us.if this seems feasible to you ,please revert?

We are 4 in person. It will be helpful to share vehicle. I think we can align the dates as per your schedule (or it might get procrastinated by a week, we have to check on that). But we are definitely not up for the same itinerary as yours. I dont think Gangtok,Pelling and darjeeling is worth staying a week for . Our itinerary will consist places like (Tsongmo lake, baba mandir,Nathula pass- 1 day), (Lachung, lachen,Gurudongmar, yumthang - 3/4 days) , pelling 1 day , darjeeling/Mirik 1 day.

you wont need to hire an exclusive vehicle to reach to Gangtok. From bagdogra ,you will get shared vehicles like bus/tata sumos (you might have to break the journey). what you can do is, you can book 4 seats instead of booking 2. then you wont have to worry about space. We did the same when going to Kalimpong. We were 5 persons, booked 7 seats of the sumo. So we got the front and middle row for us. If you go for tours like north sikkim/old silk route etc, then only you have to hire exclusive vehicle. Otherwise, Gangtok-pelling-Darjeeling everywhere shared vehicle will be available.

Any Sikkim lovers are welcome... provided they love the raw nature of Sikkim... and eager to sacrifice the resorty comforts to stay in a basic homestay just to enjoy the nature...you should have it in your heart and enjoy... thats the main criteria...
The date has not been finalized yet… but we are thinking it to be including the Diwali holidays… We are also open if anyone wants to make the trip a bit longer such as Phalung/ North sikkim... Any input regarding the places (or any other off beat place nearby) and relevant informations will be higly appreciated… we need detail inputs….

Looking forward to a grand IM get-together...
Hi Hazra_amit and other IM'ers... I request for another East Sikkim plan in near future in 2015. I would love to join the group

Panda International.

I doubt if you would get a 4 bedded room for that rate at time of the year.
