India - Sikkim: Excellent Digital Road and Tourist Map Link

For those interested and still unaware of this digital map, it is the best overall map of Sikkim (including regional borders including Darjeeling and Nepal). Unfortunately, many India maps and even those of countries bordering the area have little or no detail of the area, except the usual U of Texas topographical map with few name places.

It can be cut and pasted to Word by holding down your mouse over all digital panels, then put onto a 11x17 page. I then converted it with Adobe to a page size. I only use it for personal use, and am aware that it is not for comercial use without www.lirung.com's permission.

thanks, gerrard. nice of you to share that link, and sikkim has one heckuva byzantine road system. some others can be found here and what may be an even better one here. i seem to recall a map thread around here somewhere, too.

i found and bought one online, a topo map that detailed the road network. it made it much easier to estimate driving times and also get some perspective on where i was while traversing the state via jeep. unfortunately, i lost it, can't remember who published it, and can't remember from where i bought it. it was a treasure, though. curiously, it seemed only to confuse my driver.

that map is quite old and has lots of spelling mistakes, here's new version of sikkim map.
