During extended weekends all hotels will increase their price. So for your budget hotel with good position and fantastic views will be difficult.

What happened to your slave? Cant you look up the number for yourself?

Most people here are happy to oblige, and give you feedback.

Please dont abuse the kindness of others

Thanks Suriya

I have actually been to Ravangala and indeed stayed there twice. We took a car and visited the gompa.
It was a quiet place and I liked it very much.

This fora is supposed to be conducted in English.

When you get there please enjoy your stay.

If cloud free you will get the most fantastic mountain views

Thought you do the home work first and then ask questions.
IMers do help, but do not pack your bags for you so put in a bit of effort
And being a bit more polite would be nice.
I have also been to Ravangla but have nothing to share

WHOA!!! There is a very thin line between being an IM'er and being a travel agent my friend.

If you choose to, the link below is for you to pick and choose.

Don't want to disappoint you. But in August Rabangla will be under clouds. No chance to see any snow peak . Probably I'm a bit harsh. But that's the usual scenario. Apart from snow peak view, it' s a heaven. Many staying options in Rabangla Bazar area including Menamla ( around 100 mtrs away from the market place). Expect less crowd due to Gorkhaland issue. Hope you would get a room within Rs 1000 which is usually sold at 2500 during season. Bargain hard. If I' m not wrong then 80% rooms will be vacant in Rabangla during your stay

I have been to Ravangla in August. No views and no tourists. You do not need to book in advance. Once you are there you can ask around. There are plenty of hotels to chose from.

There have been no reports of a Sikkim visit recently in this forum. Most of them are in the planning stages.

Keep your fingers crossed.
