Honeymoon tour - need guidance

Hi all,

I came across this very helpful forum and seek your help in planning my Honeymoon tour to Sikkim/Darjeeling. I have absolutely no knowledge of the area and this would be my first trip to the North East. My travel dates would be 15th - 23rd May. I would be flying from Delhi to Bagdogra on 15th.

From the threads on this forum, North Sikkim interests both me and my wife. We are also interested in white water river rafting. We dont want to make this trip very hectic either, it should have a good balance of activities and relaxation. Would some of you please give some suggestions?

Also, any pointers to good travel agents who I can contact?

Thanks a lot. looking forward to your responses.

cheers

Hi Nishit,

Recently I went to sikkim on my honeymoon. Earlier I had also many confusiones but after knowing abt this forum all got solved

For rafting you can stop at Testa (a place between Bagdogra & gangtok) & talk to local ppl they will help you. & for a travel operator, dont bother abt this, you will get many tour operators aftering reaching baghdogra. I had the same issue when i was abt to start my trip but ppl in this forum had suggested me not to do any prebooking. I would also suggest you same. Dont even book at baghdogra they will charge you more.

have a nice trip.

cheers
