Honeymoon in November?

I am planning for a honeymoon sometime in november to be precise from 19th to 29th. How is the weather during that time? what are the places for sight seeing? do i need to go to a travel operator or i can do it myself? which surrounding places can i visit? how are the hotels? what about food? most importantly the damages to my bank account? what activities can i do? how do i reach their?

u have not mentioned where u want to go in sikkim......mind it its a state....may not be as big as maharastra but certainly much much much bigger then mumbai.
and u wanna know the weather and places of sight seeing...

for november first go to gangtok...stay for 2-3 days....cover tsongmo(tshangu) lake babmandir and nathula pass.

thereafter book organised tour from gangtok to take u to north sikkim....lachung lachen yumthang. and if u and ur bride still need some excitement (honeymoon is exciting in itself though ) go to chopta valley or gurdongmar lake.

north sikkim is motorable compared to west sikkim which is mostly trekkable .... u will have chance to penetrate deep into himalayas...but in nov it will be cold....expect 4 to-4 degree centigrade.

I think this is enough to exhaust your 10 days and the intended money...(bit costly in these parts of sikkim). expecting cost from siliguri to siliguri Rs17000/- for honeymoon couples. hope u know how much it costs mumbai-siliguri to & fro....

and for one query...i marked in red....do u really want me to tell u that???

So far cost in Sikim is concerned, it depends on how are you travelling?

1. NJP --> Gangtok : RS. 120/head in share zeep, Rs. 1200/full zeep, Rs. 800/full for omni, you can hire 4 seats for 2 people for better journey if you don't want to hire full car.

2. Gangtok --> Changulake, babmandir, nathula : Rs. 150/head in share zeep, Rs. 700 for full Omni

3. Yumthung package --> 1 night, 2 days : Rs. 1000 for shared case. If you want to include Chopta and Gurutomber lake, cost will be more.

You will get plenty of zeep drivers asking for Gangtok at NJP(no need to go to Siliguri), no need to go for any travel agent here.
After reaching at Gangtok, reach into a hotel (there are lots of different taste hotels in MG marg, central position of Gangtok), now you need to take help for local tour operator...there are lots of tour operator near MG Marg...you can take help from them...I can suggest Snoopy Tours and treks...they take moderate rate and have good hospitality.
