Honeymoon during May-07
hi all,
I'm from bangalore. Planning to hav a HM at 3rd week of May. My preferences are hilly regions. I could see North sikkim as an option. Could you clarify/guide, 1. Will it be the correct season (no rain, pleasant climate..) 2. how crowded the place at May (related to privacy,security...) 3. how good the food for pure vegetarians 4. places to visit, mode of transport, hotels to stay etc My budget for us is around Rs.20000/couple, starting and ending at Bagdhogra, for 5-6 days. Any itinerary with approximate cost of travel(which vehicle I can hire, for hilly regions), places to visit, hotels(standard) to stay , if provided its highly appreciated. waiting for ur write-up, Prakathi Last edited by prakathi : Mar 9th, 2007 at 15:32. |

Hi,
Must say you have selected the best place for Honeymoon. 1) Any time leaving july , aug and sept is good as it rains heavily in these three months. 2)i went there in jan 07 no idea abt may. 3)you can check out the restaurant near MG road "RASOI" for veg food. It is a veg restaurant. 4)1) nathula pass, baba mandir and tsongo lake 2) 10-12 local siteseeing point covering rumtek monestary, rope way and others. You can also do a 5-6 local siteseeing points. 3) North sikkim tour 3D/2N covering lachen, copta valley, thangu, gurudongmar lake, lachung, yumthang, yumsadeoeng and zero point. Cant help about hotels as i stayed at our guesthouse there. Let me know incase you need any more details . |

Drop back to the respective hotel to cherish the found memories in the hotel room at Gangtok. 3 Nights / 4 Days Per Person Pakage Cost : Rs.8000 x 2 adults = Rs.16000/- Our Service Charge : Rs.125/- Add : 1.24% Govt. Tax Total payable amount : Rs.16,325/- NOTE : * Bagdogra to Gangtok is 5 - 6 hrs oneway drive. Recommended to halt at Gangtok on First Night & Last Night. * Pick-up & Drop seperatly can be arrange on additional cost. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Our plan is to reach bagdogra by 5.00PM on day 0. Is it possible to reach Gangtok by 10.00-11.00 PM and get a good accommodation? I prefer to ask the tour operator to arrange vehicle + one night accommodation in hotel at gangtok. Could anyone suggest how much is the cost for the above, considering a decent hotel at Gangtok. Thanks, Prakathi |
