Honeymoon at Gangtok

Hi All,

I am a new member at IndiaMike. I planed to go Gangtok for my honeymoon. So, I need some informetion about Gangtok. Please help me to plan my tour.

I planed to stay at Gangtok for 3 Nights.

1.What is the Jeep fair from Siliguri to Gangtok? (Share and Reserve)
2.Cost of tour to Natula, Changu Lake etc.? (Share and Reserve)
3.How much time took for the Nathual tour?
4.Good Hotel at Gangtok? (Rs.1000 p/day)

And plz give some plans to me.....as I don't want any hectic tour.

I need reply very early......Plzzzzz

Shared = Rs.150 per head, reserved around Rs.1500 for a van/jeep. (This is Bagdogra to Gangtok)..might be a small difference from Siliguri.

Shared = Should be less than Rs.500, however haggle hard. reserve Rs.2500-3500...again haggle hard, they will fleece you at first give opportunity.

Cherry Guest House, paid around Rs.1200 for a deluxe room.

Hi Paval,
Congrats on your wedding! You've chosen a great location for your honeymoon. Here are some answers:

1. How many hours took for Natula, Changu tour?
LEAVE AROUND 8AM, GET BACK AROUND 1:30-2PM
2. Which day it is open?
NOT SURE. THERE'S A LOT OF CONSUION ON THAT.
3. If I not booked any hotel is any problem? (Second week of May)
MAY IS PEAK TOURIST SEASON, SO BETTER BOOK IN ADVANCE. ANOTHER NICE PLACE - MINTOKLING GUEST HOUSE (AROUND 1200/NIGHT). HOTEL TIBET IS QUITE FAMOUS TOO, BUT FRANKLY, I DIDN'T LIKE IT.
4. As I know that some bargain spot booking?
THEY USUALLY QUOTE AROUND 5000-6000 FOR A RESERVED TRIP TO NATHULA, BUT BARGAIN WITHOUT THINKING; THEY'LL COME DOWN TO 2500.
5. Is bargain possible over phone for booking?
SHOULD BE POSSIBLE. YOU CAN TALK TO MR.SATISH BARDEWA FROM YAK & YETI (WWW.YAKNYETI.COM). HE QUOTED 2500 WHEN I ENQUIRED. I WENT THROUGH HIM FOR MY NORTH SIKKIM TRIP AND FOUND THE ARRANGEMENTS QUITE SATISFACTORY.
