Help required with itinerary for a honeymoon trip to Sikkim in Jan 2010

Hello guys,
I have gone through the helpful posts here on this subject and prepared an itinerary based on it. I wish to include Borong in the list but not sure where to put it. we are planning to pre-book only initial hotel accommodation in Gangtok and arrange other travels from Gangtok. Please review the list and suggest changes. Will we be able to visit all places in January (weather)?. Also I am wondering if the itinerary is too tightly scheduled for any relaxation. please help.

day 1: Jan 19
Arrival at Bagdogra airport. Take exclusive cab to Gangtok.Stay in Sonam Delek/Cherry guest
Check for lachung-lachen tour packages & taxi

day 2: Sightseeing at Gangtok. Nathula border and tsangu lake and baba mandir

day 3: North Sikkim trip. get a deal for 2N3D from The fortuna group/Yak and Yeti travels.

leave to lachung (Kabi Lungtsok,Naga Waterfall +The Confluence of Lachen Chu + Lachung Chu at Chungthang and Bhim Nala Waterfall + Mighty Khangchendzonga from Singhik
+Phodong Monastery) night stay at Lachung

Day 4:
Yumthang valley and Zero point + Katao o to Lachen.Overnite at Lachen.

Day 5:
Lachen to Gurudhongmar lake. back to gangtok

Day 6: Peling . hotel Norbu Ghang

Day 7: Khechoparali Lake, Yuksom and nearby sightseeing

Day 8: back to airport

I would like to stay in Borong for a day. Please suggest where to include it. Trip can extend a couple of days. Also what are the good hotels in Lachen and Lachung? I am looking for a peaceful area with scenic beauty. Will the tour operators in Gangtok change hotels according to our request? how long it will take from Gangtok to Pelling? will I be able to visit any place on day 6? sorry for these many questions. As you can see there is hardly one month left and I am still planning

Regards,
Nimi

Gangtok to Pelling 6-7 hrs. Depending on the roads!! Pelling has an old Palace, & u could take a Trek in the morning around. A Lake & a Monastry close by. They usually have a Fest in early Jan , so check it out... Its great to see local culture.

Have fun

HI

Borong is closer to Rawangla & can b done on ur way to Pelling frm Gangtok, on ur last day of the journey.
But looking at ur tight schedule, i wonder if u want to do another break journey there.
It also depends if u travelling alone or in a group!! Bcos mostly honeymooners take a break there. Nothing much to do except seeing few monastries & taking a trek & it could get a bit boring, if u were single. Best would b to shoot straight to Pelling. Its more lively there.

Cheers

bro, borong aint really worth it. but if you wanna go,depending on when you get back to gangtok from gurudongmar lake, you can leave the same day or early next.see it on day 6 and take off to peling.we dont have fog,so you can travel in d nite.the only place where you can fit in borong is day 6.and nathula and babamandir require permits which you get only in gangtok.if you give the ETAs,i would be of more help.
