gangtok-Lachung-gangtok in december

Hi all,

We (2 adults, 1 child) are planning a trip in mid December 2010 to Gangtok-Lachung-Gangtok.

Can u suggest what would be a reasonable cost for a 2N-3D package for the above tour? We might not get to reach Yumthang valley during that time, so have not included it in the tour.

If package is not a good idea, then please suggest moderate (not very hi-fi) hotels in Gangtok and Lachung and the taxi fare for Gangtok sightseeing, Gangtok-Lachung and if roads are open Lachung to Yumthang valley. Do u think hotel/package booking from Sikkim House in Calcutta would be a good idea?

I might have asked too much in my very first post....but ur help is indeed required.

It's very cool at Lachung-Yumthang during Dec'2010. For North Sikkim tour like this, You have to go for package tour. All travel agencies in Gangtok are offering 1-2 or 2-3 days packages at very competitive rates. But go with Reputed travel agencies as they offer good rooms. You can contact M/S Khorlo tours at Sikkim house. They are very good. No need to book hotel at Gangtok as it's off-season. You can stay at Anola Hotel at Gangtok, its' good. Do bargain.
