First time trekking (contemplated) in Sikkim
I am contemplating to trek to see Kangchenjunga in mid-April as I will be in India for a business visit (might as well take the opportunity).
Which is a good trek for that and do I need a guide/porter? Is there any way I can do cheaply alone? Anyone has any recommendation of guide etc for non-group traveller? I guess trekking in India is unlike the "teahouse" type in Nepal; meaning I need to have tents? In any case I believed I have to get to Gangtok to apply for a license? I know some of these are rather silly questions. Thanks for bearing with me. |

Singali Ridge trek
Do the Singali Ridge Trek from Maneybhanjyang to Phalut to Singali La. Search the Forum. All details available on IM.
K'junga can be seen all along if the sky is not polluted.
