Hi! Is the easiest and best way to fly from
Kathmandu to Kolkata to Bagdogra?
Is there a better city to fly off from instead of Kolkata where it's more worthwhile to sightsee and stay a few days?

I'm a solo female traveler and would like to see a lot of nature and beautiful walks but it seems really difficult to manage Sikkim on my own. If you have a month to visit Nepal, Darjeeling, Sikkim, how would you do the route and arrange it?

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Guwahati..........you may also opt for Paro (Bhutan)

if budget is not a problem, go through a good/reputed agency

NB: hope you know few places are restricted to foreigners in Sikkim..........and an ILP (Inner Line Permit) is compulsory............and again sorry to inform there'd be few other places where foreigners are not allow if traveling solo
.

Totaly confused how to explore the beautiful earth when one life is too short to complete my great India

Thanks so much, PKanti. The more I read about Sikkim, the more I am loving it. Would you know which specific areas are closed to foreigners? Are they totally closed or are there some ways around it?

if I say with more depth, almost no area closed to foreigners, but you have to manage special permit from Defense Ministry, New Delhi ...........but all I can say, no solo traveler would be allowed to access restricted zones ..........few commonly known places restricted to foreigners: not beyond Thangu, Yumthang and places like Gurudongmar, Nathula, Tsangu (if solo), silk route etc

I know about another route between Kathmandu and Gangtak. You can take flight from Kathmandu to Bhadrapur, the distance between Bhadrapur and Gangtak is just about 200km. But you have to cross the border at Kakarbhita, for Indian and Nepalese people the border is open, not sure about others though
