Red face Anyone Travelling to North Sikkim in nov. end?

First of all, thanks for offering this wonderful platform for discussing travel to Sikkim. I am enthralled by the non-biased and informative advice given by some members especially shashank and Jyotirmoy, just to name a few.

I am traveling to Sikkim this Nov. end and wish to go for a north Sikkim tour. Any couples/families wish to join us? The North Sikkim tour that I am looking forward to includes Lachung and Lachen stay along with trips to Yumthang, Thangu, chopta valley and possibly Gurudongmar (if weather and health permits ).

Also, could someone let me know this: Is the Rumtek monastery en-route Ravangla? How good is Ravangla and any thoughts on accommodation in Ravangla?

Want to get all the bolts tighten up before visiting. Thanks in advace.

Hi AshRo and Subh

I am travelling on my own and would like to visit Sikkim early December. I will be in Bagdora on 1st December and intend to stay in Sikkim/Darjeeling for 7 to 10 days to then head off to Kolkota. As I am travelling on my own, I would be pretty much interested to share travel cost.
Would it be possible for me to share your (or part of the) trip?

Kind regards

Francois

Hi Francois,

Thanks for the message but we would have covered North sikkim by that date.

Appreciate your getting in touch

Hi Santanu,

I will reach Gangtok on 28th Nov. And plan to leave for Lachung on either 29th or 30th. Can move the date forward but not backwards. Me too traveling with my wife.

Let me know if your trip allows some flexibility forward.

Ashish

Dear Ashish,

I have already finalized my itinerary. On 29th we will be going to Tsomgo lake / nathu La, as the pass is open only on specific days.

Thanks for the reply though. Hope u have a wonderful time out there. I just checked the weather forecast and it says, weather will be fine and temperature in Gangtok will be around 1/2 degree Celsius. Lets' hope its snows in Gangtok itself.

Regards

Santanu
