|  AMS in Tsomgo Lake Hi all! Can someone advise me on the chances of AMS on the Tsomgo Lake drive from Gangtok? I have 2 kids with me (8 and 5) and from what I see the ascent is rather too much too soon! Any advice? |

| If you go to Nathula, there might be some problem of altitude sickness (i hope this is what you mean by AMS). But Tsomgo is absolutely fine. |

|  Thanks mousourik! Yup, acute mountain sickness is what i hv been reading up currently; just a tad worried about the kids. We've done tsomgo in 2003 and all was well. thanx for the happy words:: |

| thanks kanimohan, it helps to know so many people feel it is quite ok. I really do want to see tsomgo again. and yes, i too want to avoid nathu-la this time. So, I guess will just go for it. |
