I'll be here, so sure! When your dates are set, let me know. I figure this is the kind of thing the private message device is for. I might have out-of-town guests from the 25th through the 28th, but plans haven't jelled and they might come on different dates after all.

It would be fun to talk about Sikkim and India. I went back to India after many years (though it was my first time in Sikkim), and so the visit boggled my mind in a completely different way compared to a first-time visitor's. I couldn't believe how modern everything had become; how the sense of time had changed, so that lateness is now actually an issue ("the inconvenience caused is regretted"); how few(!) beggars there were; how the dhoti has practically disappeared and the salwar kameez is now worn in South India; how "Indian popular music," which used to be very distinctive, now might very well be techno; how polluted the air is; and so on and on and on. I'll stop!

If you post suspension bridge photos I will SURELY recognize the one I have in mind! Yes indeed, the smaller roads are something else! Your #6 looks exactly like the view from our hotel in Pelling.
