Welcome back Janice!
You have a good eye. The pictures seem a bit over resized...you can see too much of the pixels. What program are you using to resize? Try www.flickr.com |

Elsewhere on the forum too, if you are using Windows XP, Imageresizer Power Toy is a good free tool.

i'm glad you asked about the resizing...i'm completely perplexed about this. i used both paint.net and paint - just for the resizing, mind you. the images were under 100 KB, but had too many pixels. back to square one. i spent a full hour trying to get them to a size that the IM site would accept, having them rejected again and again for a pixel here and a KB there, even as it seemed that others' thumbnails had better resolution. i'm a tech illiterate with this uploading stuff. i need a private tutor, methinks. think i'll just upload everything to flickr or picasa and post the darn link! but i did want to post at least a tiny taste of my 2000-odd photographic banquet here.

Something is wrong with the upload attachments function (the paper clip). I couldn't get it to work, and I know something about pixel dimensions and file sizes.

yes picasa is good but has one distasteful thing with it - limit of the fotos u can upload... I think only 250MB...well of course U can have multiple accounts but that again you know...
I have been trying to figure out some easy way of resizing the stuff in bulk.....not worked much on it tho...and did not get anything on whatever time I worked on My friend used to do bulk resizing in Adobe...do not have details tho...anyways I wud not go for such a heavy application.Nice Pix, Janice! btw I want that footwear, it's cool!

janice, I use this to resize pics, and you can download it for free. it's simple, no muss, no fuss. very easy to reduce the pixels. I've used it for all my pics here on IM.... |

Picasa (the application) is great for bulk resizing (use the Export option) and it is easier than Irfanview.
As for Image hosting, Photobucket gives 1GB free space and Imageshack is free. Cheers Slakhs
