What is a good exchange rate?

I fly into Delhi and am planning on changing my US $ there at the airport. I always hear people say that the airports offer a good rate, but I never hear anyone say what a good rate is?

Just went to xe.com, they converted $100USD to 4,273.50 INR. About how much of that would a money changer take?

You will not get the rate quoted on XE anywhere in India unless you are converting very large amounts of foreign currency.

You will get anything between Rs 41-Rs 41.60
