Travel Agency Dispute Resolution
Hi,
We are currently in a dispute with a travel agency in Delhi about the services that were told that we were going to be provided and the services that they are providing. We are currently in Jaipur with an incompetent driver who resists any request that we ask, except for going shopping! He is of course insistent that we go to this shop and that shop. The agency is not communicating with us. We would like to know if there is some disputes process or tourist board we can contact to help us? Thanks |

I am afraid that it too late for your fist post on IM..
The only way out would be if you are yet to pay the agency..however your posts sounds like you have already paid to the agency. |

You can approach a consumer forum but the process but the redressal process takes a very long time.

This is India. Just accept that you've been screwed over, cut your losses and get on with the rest of your holiday. I'm afraid there is very little else you can do - and the driver and travel agent both know it.

There is a tour company working out of Jaipur called Rajasthan Four Wheel Drive. They have got good reviews here quite recently. Cut your losses like Mickey says, and maybe try these people instead.

This is a common problem. Be firm and command him. Most of these drivers do not deserve politeness.

In this situations, the only thing you can do is fighting them with their own weapons.
Do promise him a big tip if he will be willing to change his attitude and follow your needs. And at the end of the trip just say goodbye. |

I guess it depends on how much you have paid already, if the money isn’t much you would be better off hiring another taxi.
