Sarai Kale Khan Bus Stand Racket - Take it up with higher authorities!

Around 2005, there was this racket at Sarai Kale Khan Bus Stand run by some 20-30 people. They had kept a number of low quality goods which they coerced the customer into buying. There were instances of them beating people who did not buy any of their wares. I personally registered a Complaint against them, to then D.C.P Crime Tejender Loothra in a NDTV program but no action was taken even after a month.
I decided to take this up to higher authorities.
I sent E-mails to CM of Delhi , the Police commissioner and Lt.General of Delhi .
And within three days a raid was carried out and quite a few people associated were arrested.
Just want to end it by saying that, there is always a better way to stop a social evil. You can do that by using E-mails, raising awareness among people over the net. There are a lot of forums that will help you too. Like for example there is Jaago Re , for violence against Women there are forums on Bel Bajao.
All we have to do is reach out and we’ll see the action being taken. No point in ignoring the problem!
