Khajuraho tricky
I was in Khajuraho three days before. I met a local jewellry owner. He looks very friendly. He asked me to bring some diamonds for him to UK and will pay me 4000 pounds. Of couse, I did not believe him becasue it sounds too good to be true. But I kept in talking with him in order to know what he really want. Finally he told me that I need to pay 25% of insurance fee. What a tricky!!! You will pay 1000 pounds to get ten fake or bad diamonds.

Well done for having the good sense to refuse, and thanks for the warning!
![]() Unlikely as it seems, a lot of tourists do fall for these gem scams, so many that the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) has specifically warned about it under the "crime" section of their advice to tourists visiting India. ![]()
