Hi

Is Jammu-Srinagar-Kargil-Leh route safe for a bike trip in the wake of recent firings and hostage incident?

Hostage incident ?

There was a bomb in Srinagar , the first this year , thankfully with no one killed , and a fire fight with four soldiers killed , also Srinagar. Another incident in ... don´t remember the name . Still a very slow year in Kashmir , in comparison with earlier years.
