hidden cameras in paharganj hotel rooms
hidden cameras in paharganj hotel rooms
I'll be heading back to India next week for the 11th time and was chatting with a local friend of mine who is in Delhi at the moment. He warned me to be careful of a new scam going on in hotel rooms, especially Paharganj hotel rooms. Apparently mini hidden cameras no larger than the size of a button are being hidden in the rooms and are recording everything that is going on inside. Then the ilicit videos are being sent by text message (sms) to mobile phones all over india! What will they think of next?? Has anybody else heard of this? My advice... check your room thoroughly before you undress... !
Thats Spooky...
I have heard that such things happen in Hotels in places like Shimla, Manali, Mussouri where usually the honeymoon couple go...
Not heard of such think till now happening in Delhi though.

Nobody has sent any such images to my mobile phone.
I suspect that this has almost certainly happened, in hotel rooms all over the world, maybe India, maybe Pahaganj, but the frequency/danger is likely to be an urban myth.
Nothing wrong with checking the room out if it makes you feel ok.

Er, yes, the topic's been done before. Can't find the relevant thread for it in a jiffy.
What can one say; if it happens, it will happen all over the world, no doubt. Paranoidly turning every hotel room inside out may not be the solution, nor will it have the staff look on you more favorably.
Before mini cameras, there were always the peephole stories. Yes, I suppose it happens.

If that cockroach really is a cockroach then why does it not move and only follow me with it's eyes?

Now you have me looking for the ad I saw for an electronic camera detector. Anyone have their favorite video.?
Does sound urban legend-y to me, whether it's really even happened or only been imagined.
How about this - as soon as anyone on this forum sees a video made in this way in an Indian hotel room, please post about it here!!

OK, if I want to receive these videos, who do I send my mobile number to?
.
SOS: Missing Person...
Please look at this thread, even if you are not in India.: Have you seen Jonathan Spollen?
He could be anywhere now: You might have met him, be able to help, or give information.

This is not an urban myth. It is 100% true, there have been many cases where such videos have been made and released.
Camera phones are usually used and sometimes proper cameras.
The camera phone is the ultimate must have gadget for perverts in India.
Employees were caught making such video in Ludhiana.

You don't have to to India it may be happening in your own neighborhood. There was a bust near me on the local news last week just outside of Philadelphia USA on this same topic. There are sick people everywhere even India
however going by the number of videos that float around its safe to say that Indian's are yet lagging behind other countries in terms to these things...
I guess the cameras and technology is still expensive by Indian standards..
