Your actual elbow was the only thing you should put in your ear ---was the version I heard as a child.

I have now have a mental picture of all the IMers, worldwide, who never heard this before, trying to put their elbows in their ears. And no, you are not allowed to use your partner's elbow

I have been using this for years and have suffered no ill effects, you will surprised at the amount of wax can build up in your ears and ear candling along with a facial really makes you feel great.

A lot of Health Stores in the US and perhaps other countries offer this service for low cost. you can do it your self or have a friend do it.

Mote: the ear candle (linen cloth dipped in wax) is inserted through a pie pan so there is no possibility of dripping flaming wax in to your hair. Also the head is wrapped in a towel for further protection. I have never had any wax drip off the ear candle. You also cut off the ash when it is four inches long and to put it out by dipping it in a glass of water.

Or you can trust a stranger to poke a metal object in your ear, I have heard several good reviews of this method , but the choice is yours

Hmm, call me Mr Cynical but when I was in Hong Kong it is widely believed that the wax that is 'extruded' from your ear during this process is virtually all produced by the candle itself, and not from your (already) clean ear!

Soap in your ears, whish I had a dollar for evertime I heard that In Anjuna, my brother chased a bloke around the stall for plunging into his ear with a needle without asking him, he actually chased him around the stall everyone laughed but they left him alone after that

Thats right..even the link mentioned tell us its a HOAX.They burned the candle first inside near the ear [ as per the process ] & later just burned it like a normal candle & found the same residue coming out from both acts.

Also i remember there was thread long posted about the same thing..the topic was i guess RUN RUN...not sure

You think Sanjay I know quite a few Indians who regularly get their ears done!!

Having said that they are about the only street traders I get seriuosly shirty with if they go near my ears. I tell them in no uncertain terms to STAY AWAY, or suffer the consequences!!
