Diwali in Delhi 2006
My sister and I (both females) will be in Delhi Oct 19th through the 21st. This will be the beginning of Diwali.
I've read the threads about festivals and Holi, and how it is very scary and unsafe for women. Can you please advise whether Diwali will be a problem as well, and if we need to take precautions? Thank you! |

Apart from groping which can happen anywhere no matter if some festival is there or not, the most important would be :-
1. Don't wear any chiffon or any combustible material. Diwali goes in fireworks overdrive in Diwali season. 2. If drinking, then don't leave u'r drink unattended either of the 2 keep an eye on the drink. There have been an increase with the easy availability of drugs for the same. I'm sure u'll find more in the relevant threads. 3. Dress conservatively 4. Don't be paranoid. Tht's all from me ![]() Enjoy & have fun time |
