Just what you've all been waiting for, right?

I do want to start by saying "Thanks" to all the IM folks out there for constructing such an incredible resource. This site has been so helpful for doing the initial part of our travel planning. Great website, great content, and from what I can tell, great people. Thank you, thank you!

We have only 9 days to see some of Rajasthan and I am looking for a good balance of seeing things and experiencing the place. Tough to do in 9 days, but here is the rough plan so far:

Delhi -> Pushkur (2 days)
Pushkur -> Jaisalmer (3 days)
Jaisalmer -> Udaipur/Mt Abu (3 days)
Fly back to Delhi

Any thoughts out there on this? If you were going to do this trip, what modes of travel would you use to get from A -> B -> C?

Unless you are flying most legs, it seems like too much to me. Jaisalmeer to Mt Abu/Udaipur would take some time to do by bus or train (I assume you mean Mt Abu or Udaipur, as there is quite a long car trip between them, which would add greatly to your travel time). Jaisalmeer seems like a long way out to do in a nine day trip - but maybe if you are flying all legs, this isn't an issue. Overall opinion - a bit rushed.

I have no idea if you can make it in 9 days or not, but I'll just tell you that I was very disappointed over Mt Abu. The other places you have mentioned are so much greater (in my opinion) So don't waste your precious time on Mt Abu.
I hope you have a good trip - Rajastan is fantastic!
