Water levels Udaipur/ Pushkar

We are currently planning a three week trip between Mumbai and Delhi next March. We were wondering on the current lake levels in Udaipur and Pushkar at the moment as I know that they have been low/ dried up in recent years and are hoping that things will have improved by the time we visit!

Any info. would be appreciated.

Has nobody been recently?

We left udaipur yesterday and the water levels are fine... there's lots of kids jumping into the water from the ghats!

There is a lot of water in Pushkar now.. approx 14 feet. this was very less a couple of months ago.. but things seems to be back to normal now..

pichola lake 6 feet and fatehsagar 1.5 feet. we are expecting few more rains.

Though this year monsoon is the best in last more than 30 years in Udaipur but still we need enough water to make our lakes overflow, following are the current water level in (feet) taken from Dainik Bhaskar of 19th August 2010

Lake Pichola 6.10

Lake Fateh Sagar -5.6

Devas Dam 14.4

Lake Badi -8.10

Lake Madar 20

Lake UdaySagar 8.5

The lake in Pushkar was dry in may first week...
Though they have made small kunds (tanks) for people to take a dip!!

Thank Heavens! I can't imagine pushkar without the lake with water in it.

Both (Lake Pichola and Lake Fateh Sagar) were full as September end. There should not be any problem till March 2011
