Udaipur To Jodhpur By Taxi

Can anybody give me a rough idea of the cost of a taxi from Udaipur to Jodhpur going via Kumbhalgarh & Ranakpur?
AC taxi would be preferred and if anybody can recommend a company to contact if Udaipur, I would appreciate it.
I did the journey by bus when I was mcuh younger but am way too old for that now!

I know the following is not what you asked for, but I did this reply to another thread yesterday and others viewing this thread may find it useful.

1, if you're traveling alone, or with one other person, ask other tourists if they're interested in the same journey and then you can share the cost of the car & driver, it seems that loads of tourists like this methed of traveling between Udaipur and Jodhpur.

2, consider just using the car & driver to visit Ranakpur/Kumbalgarh and then to take you to Falna train station (40 Kms from Ranakpur), one of the biggest costs of the Udaipur-Jodhpur section is that you have to pay the driver for the time (and costs) of getting back to Udaipur, if you only went to Falna you'd save a lot of money, there is also a well-timed train to Jodhpur from Falna.....

Train 9223 departs Falna daily at 16:30 and gets to Jodhpur at 20:05, the train starts it's journey in Ahmedabad, so should run on time.

2-tier air con = Rs 385
Sleeper Class = Rs 121 (not air con)

I know above information is very helpful for budget traveler but all the INDIAMIKE visitors are not only budget traveler.
Many people just travel alone all the rajasthan by luxury cars. Anyway!!!
The cost will be between $75 to 85 USD for 600 km. since you have to pay for both the ways.
Often people hire cars for round trip. For this you can contact with hotel people you stay.

Steven_Ber has given you some good options, but I have another idea:

Instead of doing Ranakpur&Kumbalgarh in one single day and arriving very late at Jodhpur you could go from Udaipur to Ranakpur by "deluxe" bus (3 hours) and stay one night at a hotel in Ranakpur. Call to your hotel and see if they can pick you up at the bus stop, because all accomodation in Ranakpur is too far from the bus stop to walk. Buses stop right outside the temple so you could visit it before going to the hotel. Surely the hotel can arrange to take you to Kumbalgarh in the afternoon or in the next morning. Next day you could continue your travel to Jodhpur by deluxe bus.

Doing it like this means that a taxi isn't needed and another advantage is that the travel will be split up into 2 days.
