Udaipur to Jaipur: driving time etc.

How long does it take in driving time to go from Udaipur to Jaipur?

Would you make this a trip with one overnight stop, or two?

And what would be your own best recommendations for stops?

Our interests: our primary inclination is to spend at least 3 nights in each place, and maybe 4. So we don't want to stretch out the travel time, nor do we want to spend all day in a car.

Especially as one passenger is a 12-year-old boy.

Drive time : 11 hrs 28 min (approx.)

Probably better break that into two segments. Maybe a long segment from Udaipur to Ajmer and then a shorter day to Jaipur.

From Udaipur to Jaipur by car will take between 9 and 10 hrs.

From Delhi to Udaipur it took 12 hours...and from Delhi to Jaipur it takes around 4 hour...

I would take 8-10 hours for Udaipur-Jaipur segment..

I was there few years back, at that time they had a special package of Rs.500 per head. It included the visit to city palace, Crystal Gallery (otherwise it costs Rs.300 for this gallery itself), a Boat ride on lake Pichola and entry to Jug mandir (Center of lake), a entry to the vintage car collection of the Maharaja and a softdrink at the lakeside restaurant. It was a surreal experience..

We stayed in Hotel Paras Mahal, four of us in a room with an extra bed, buffet breakfast , Rs.2300 including taxes.

We also stayed at Mahendra Prakash, Rs.800, 4 people in a room, an extra bed.
