Question trip advice needed

hi people
i am arriving in the begining of february and looking for a quiet and not an expensive place to stay for several weeks. the only requirement is that the room has to be warm. nothing special about food, scenery, etc. preferrably in rajastan.
appreciate any input.

hi and shalom.

what sort of place do you want in rajasthan ?

udaipur is a magical city around a lake and surrounded by hills. there aint much of a "rajasthan desert" feel to it though.

jaisalmer is the "desert city" with a golden colour fort straight out of a fairy tale. the best place for "camel safari" probably. not a very clean or developed place though.

mt abu is one of the better hill stations india has, outside of the himalayan belt. dlwara temples have to be seen to be believed. again not much of "rajastan desert" feel here.

then there's also jodhpur, jaipur and bikaner. jaipur of these 3, has the most "palaces and monuments ". also the biggest city in rajasthan with shopping complexes etc.

so which one would you prefer ?

Ranakpur Jain temple

You can stay in Ranakpur Jaintemple its a peace ful place and basic donation for staying. As its in a Jain Temple surrounding you have to follow vegetarian diet and avoid intoxicants.I cant think of any thing better if its peace.

If you like this experience if you visit here then pls let us know

thank you, bengal_tiger and goamit
i am thinking of a rather long trip, so i hope i will have some time to get a feel of rajahstan desert, monuments (never wanted to see as many as possible, so will probably avoid jaipur, etc. for the start i need a very basic room (3-4 m2) with a window and temperature around 20C (inside). don't even need a bed. i do mind TVs, industrial noises and party zone feel. with regards to goamit's suggestion - i would want to, given a chance, spend some time in some religious establishment in india, but not now.

Question whats "3-4 m2" ?

er why would a room wth a wndow and a 20 degree temparature be so important ? and why at all, is the bed so inconsequential ?

sorry couldnt help but wonder....

3-4 m2 is about a square, occupied by a very small car (i forgot that there are many systems to express the measurements of the rock 20 C is just good for me, while bed is considered most of the time to be unnecessary extra.
