Route from Agra to Neemrana Fort Palace (Alwar)

Hello,

Request advice on the best route (and the approx. time taken for this journey) from Agra to Neemrana Fort Palace (Alwar district, Rajasthan).

The previous post on this topic was placed in August 2007...so, any change in the road conditions or new routes in the meantime is the reason I'm posting this request.

What I did (but we visited multiple sites) is take the tollroad from Agra to Fatehpur Sikri (about 40 minutes, very smooth road), then onwards on NH11 direction Jaipur to Bharatpur (30 mins or so, good road), then via Deeg (इीग) to Alwar. Except for the stretch just after Bharatpur, and some road works about 20 km before Alwarthat that road was also good. Guess the stretch took us 3 hours from Bharatpur (we visited Deeg also so it's hard to tell).

You could also drive back from Agra to Mathura (highway to Delhi but very congested at night), then take a left and drive via Govardhan and Deeg. Distance-wise it looks a bit shorter than what we did but I have no idea about road conditions between Mathura and Deeg.
