recommendation on accommodation (Rs 250 to 1000)

Hi, I'm travelling with my partner through Rajastan in March 2003. Has anyone recently stayed in good guest houses and/or hotels? They should be mid-range priced (Rs 250 - 1000). Honest tips are appreciated as I am sick of arriving in hotel rooms to find dirty bed linen from the person before me.

Well it all depends in what class you want to have. You can get double rooms starting at 100 to 400 if your on a budget. If you prefer high scale places then the prices can get close to western standards. It also depends if it’s high or low season and if your staying for an extended period…I stayed in budget places the whole time and no one ever changed my sheets, but I really didn’t expect them to anyway. If you ask then they probably would.

Some excellent budget hotels in Jaipur will meet your requirements perfectly. Range INR 450 to INR 550.
