Hi, My husband and I are planning a trip to jaipur and Udaipur in the first week of July. We have been hearing horror stories about how hot it will be and that there is a serious risk of sun stroke! Are we crazy for going at that time or is it not as bad as we have been told?
Any help/ tip would be great! |

Yes, it will be blistering hot! Lots and lots of water, whether you're thirsty or not, DRINK. Wear a hat, long sleeves, (cotton) use sunscreen.
If you hire a car/driver, make sure it's airconditioned, as well as your accommodation. That makes a big difference. I loved Jaipur - and I was there late June when it was in the 40's. ![]()

actually it will not be sooo hot anymore as the monsoon is scheduled for the end of June, reliefing much of Rajasthan from the blistering heat.
It will be hot of course, but showers will clear the air and make for a pleasant breeze! additionally the whole state will be lush and green! |
