Rajasthan air travel help
Hello, I need some and suggestions about flights from Rajasthan to Delhi. First, how reliable is Air Deccan?
I need help! My last days in India will be spent in Rajasthan and I need help about transportation from Rajasthan back to Delhi. I have an option of either taking an overnight train from Rajasthan to Delhi and arriving in Delhi at 11 am.. I’m then flying back home to NY at 11pm.. So I have 12 hours to walk around with heavy backpacks –would rather not do this. or…. I can fly Air Deccan the same day I’m flying back home –but it may be a bit tight because Air Deccan arrives at 6:25pm which is really close to my international flight –my problem is that I’m nervous about the close timing and if Air Deccan is late, or not flying out.. I guess I’m scared about missing my international flight. I would rather take the flight since this gives me more time in Rajasthan, but I also don’t want to miss my international flight. Are there other airports in Rajasthan that I can look into as a back up? Is Air Deccan reliable and I shouldn’t worry about anything? Thank you in advance!

Jet Airways fly Jodhpur to Delhi.
Flight 9W3312, Jodhpur 13:30, Delhi 15:00 Seems to fit your requirements a little better. (PS, thanks for the 'lets work out what city in Rajasthan' puzzle. )

No air Deccan is not reliable, or so I've heard tell. Are you flying from Udaipur? (I'm guessing cuz I know they fly Udaipur-Delhi a couple of times a week). Jet and Indian Air also fly that route.
It's not really 12 hours if you factor in getting out of the domestic airport, getting into the city, getting back out to the international airport 3 hours before your departure etc. Hire a car for the day and do some Delhi sightseeing. Your bags remain in the boot/trunk/look, I mean the back of the car, alright? and when they're taken out, the driver does it! |

Hello, hope someone can help me…
During my stay in Jaipur I would also like to go and visit Jodhpur and Jaisalmer (I have 3 or 4 days to visit both).. what would be the best way to get from one to the other.. and then at the end I have to travel to Delhi for my international flight. What is the most reliable air travel in Rajasthan that I can take? I would take a train but sine I don’t have that much time I would rather travel via air. I would love to fly from Jaipur to Jodhpur to Jaisalmer to Delhi.. or from Jaipur to Jaisalmer to Jaipur to Delhi Any suggestions would be great! thank you ![]() |

Reliability I don't know about. For routes and so on, try final word on flights to jaisalmer?

So far it's reliable, but talk is starting that they may be cutting down the no. of flights per week due to low numbers occasionally. For the moment all going per schedule (Kingfisher out of Jaisalmer). Airports in Rajasthan are in Jaipur, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer and Udaipur.

Hi Magdalena - you may be well on your way by now, but for anyone else ...
My 8.10pm Sahara Airlines flight from Jaipur-Delhi last Friday was cancelled - I'd lost my mobile a couple of days before, so they hadn't been able to contact me and let me know. I gathered they'd contacted almost everyone else - only one other couple and myself actually showed for the flight. Lesson - call up to check beforehand, if they can't call you. I had enough time (over 15 hours) before my outward flight from Delhi, but the other couple had about 7 hours. The airline arranged a car for us, and we made the Jaipur-Delhi Aiport drive in 5 hours (one brief stop) - obviously outside rush hour. Don't know what the taxi ride would have cost - the Airline covered it. Just one person's experience ... |
