Rajasthan - A short trip

“Sometimes, it is not the heritage of a city that’s important but it is the road that applauds to the journey of its making

“The road does not know whether you are a traveler or a backpacker, perhaps what matters is whether you paid a visit being a rider or an enslaver” Its not those aforesaid words that render me as a rider but yes its innate .people often style me as being insane, a word that describes my persona to be outrageous towards the zest of biking. Biking has never been a blissful preference for our grandfathers but times have changed. We today have airplanes fleeing with people exceeding the rate of birds flying in the sky

But my identification as a rider is depicted by the gush of the winds swiping on to (my) face, the dusty boots covered with sand and the feeling of speeding away from the world leaving it way behind to catch up with me . My world’s a fantasy when that adrenaline rush of the engine pulsates my soul to an inexplicable high. It’s not always the engine that marks the statement But the ride that takes you through the journey. We head onto a quest with few Bhp for our thirst and some engine displacement to feed upon.

We took a sweet note for a destination which was discovered hundred years ago, but as I say sometimes it is the road we pay a visit to and not the city; left Delhi in the afternoon and purchased few important must-buy things on the way, thereby crossing Gurgaon border entering the splendid Jaipur highway. We were cruising at a speed which made the onlookers applaud to our visit, looking at a bird’s flight. We went on without a halt till our first pit stop arrived at a distance that was 40kms from Jaipur, not much but we settled for some stretching and smoke and then we headed on again, We were not riding by the watch, so we stopped and clicked pictures of people and places, from the locals to the extraordinary and each being worth a click.

We thought we would stay for the night and we did and that was the chance for indulging into some local food, with no 5 star luxuries and penthouse but a local hotel with that Charpoy (a bed used especially in India consisting of a frame strung with tapes or light rope) to sleepover, As its not just the destiny that is important but the journey to live for, we went out for a city ride , the entire city was deserted and not one creature around but realized that it was late at night. We searched for some food and ate like gluttons, starting from desi aloo paranthas (the size being thrice to what we get in Delhi) to special khasta kachoris (I bet if one could finish it all alone). Ah!!!Now this gets me back to that place with my taste buds already enmeshed in that taste!!!..”And then, we slept”

…A new day begins and we head for our destination; Jodhpur. We packed our bags and took the extra water that we needed, tried to act like camels (the only difference being that the water was in our bottles as there is no hump) as we were entering into a no mans land and harsh weather but since everything was going fine we just cruised, some great livestock, some great scenes to restore but few things are left to be seen by the eyes of the beholder. I would say do pay a visit once and u will love every bit of it to Jodhpur.

Scorching heat and not a human trace .Beginning of Aravalis mountain belt saw some great scenic story of mother nature , when was the last time we saw sun settings I mean actual setting I doubt , perhaps we all staying in the city with high rise apartment , tall constructions sun was considered a source of light only not realizing the beauty it posses to make any spectator spellbound but it’s a view of a lifetime seeing rising of sun , beauty is when this drama the sun - is rising from kms away perhaps that the beauty of Rajasthan -the open wide land . We stopped and clicked pictures and cruised on, few pit stops for smoke and stretching and we moved on from villages to land, open wide roads to newly laid tar on road, every km we rode was story of its own .Then we saw jodhpur, though city is a army base too so there were movement of jeeps and barricades but none to be worried about , we entered the city in the evening and hunted for a hotel to rest with mouth watering food we indulged out taste buds to it . Roads have come to a destination not to an end, we paid sacrifices to the road and seek the return but was left with questions to answer perhaps more answer leads to more Roads Mighty Roads never ending Roads .
